St John
Last Summer, we scored a reservation at the famed St John Gastro-pub in London. St. John is famous for it’s old time British fare, what they call nose to tail eating.
According to its chef-owner Fergus Henderson, St, John is where “chefs, foodies, food writers and cooks on sabbatical, traveling perhaps through the great multi-starred restaurants of London, France and Spain often stop there for a taste of the real.”
They serve traditional, local, British fare like Marrow Bone Salad, Fennel & Berkswell, Ox Tongue & Chicory, Braised Beef Kidney, Grey Partridge & Lentils, Pheasant & Trotter Pie
We weren’t feeling too adventurous that day, but I did have a lovely plate of Marrow Bones.
